The Jacksonville Youth Tennis Association ( JYTA) was established in December, 2010
as a single purpose community tennis organization approved by the USTA and USTA Florida. JYTA's mission is to promote and develop youth tennis in the public sector of
Jacksonville and works to provide and maintain tennis programs and services for children
in the public communities of Jacksonville.
JYTA, in partnership with the City of Jacksonville Recreation and Community Programming Division (JaxParks) launched its youth programs in 2011 featuring the 10 & Under format of play in three public parks: Boone Park, Burnett Park and the Southside Tennis Facility. Currently, JYTA continues to run spring and fall 10 & Under Tennis programs at Burnett Park, Ringhaver Park and at the John Stockton Elementary location and works to provide summer programs for the children. In 2014, its series of 10 & Under Tennis summer camps was launched as it continues to expand based on the needs of the communities.
